Elizabeth Bleecker Meigs

American author of children's novels. She wrote historical fiction for children and also a number of horse stories, one of which was also published in the UK, although unfortunately this edition has become rare and elusive.

ILLUSTRATED BY CHARLES GREER
EDITION PICTURED: First edition
SUMMARY: Susannah and her uncle go to the sales to buy some horses for their riding stable and end up buying an injured blue palomino whom they hope will be the start of a palomino stud farm.

Collector's Info:
In the USA, the rarest of these three is Sunflight, it is not however impossible to find. The other two are reasonable easy to get hold of, although still cannot be classed as common titles. All are hard to find outside the USA. The Silver Quest was published in the UK but as this edition is very rare, this does not help British collectors much!
